Artisan Yarns is a Farm Cooperative between 2 Massachusetts Alpaca Farms: Hampden Hills Alpacas in Hampden MA, & Parker River Alpacas in Byfield MA. Our mission is to make beautifully hand dyed yarns in small batches, but it goes beyond that. We want our yarns to have a purpose, so we give 1% of our gross revenues to a variety of animal charities. Our Alpacas & Sheep give of their fleeces year after year & all they ask in return is to be treated with love & respect, but unfortunately, so many animals do not receive kind treatment, so we are doing what we can to fix this by donating. We hope you will join our efforts by purchasing our yarns. The more you buy the more we can donate. Thank you!
While we are away at shows our Amazon Storefront is closed. This is for your convenience as we don’t want to be double selling the same product. We will post in this section when our Amazon Site is on vacation and when it will be back online.
Our next show is The Wayland Winter Farmers’ Market Fiber Day on Jan 19 & March 9th. Our Online storefront will be back up and running after each show after we complete a physical inventory.
We have several different yarn weights. From Lace to DK to Heavy worsted. And we’be just added Sock & Fingering weights too!
If you are going to invest hours in knitting a keepsake, don’t you want to use yarn you love to feel & work with?
Because of this, we donate 1% of our gross revenue to local animal rescue charities. “They Give So We Give.”
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
